Smoke Detector Check
Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Three out of five home fire deaths result from fires in properties without working smoke alarms

More than one-third (38 percent) of home fire deaths result from fires in which no smoke alarms are present.

The risk of dying in a home fire is cut in half in homes with working smoke alarms

The Alamo Heights Fire Department encourages all residents to be active in home fire safety.  Remember to change the battery in your smoke detectors every time you “spring forward and fall back” with daylight savings time changes.  If you need new smoke detectors, need to replace old smoke detectors, or replace batteries please reach out to us for assistance at https://alamoheightsfire.com/.  Click the “Click Here to Contact Us” link to request help and read more about home fire safety.
