Fire Division

The Operations Division is comprised of personnel who respond to emergency incidents. Firefighters work on one of three shifts (A, B, or C). Each shift works 48 hours on duty followed by 96 hours off.

Operations personnel respond to fires, medical calls, hazardous materials incidents, rescues, and other emergencies. In addition to emergencies, personnel are responsible for pre-fire plans, continuing education and skills training, maintaining the fire station and equipment, participating in community events, conducting station tours, conducting hydrant flow testing, and other public service activities.
