Allen Ottmers

Allen started his fire career in 2000 as a volunteer with The Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department. While there he moved up the ranks to finally conclude his time with them as the Assistant Chief. In 2001, he became certified with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and in 2002 he accepted a job as a firefighter with Terrell Hills Fire Department. Allen then went on to further his skills and became a Paramedic in 2003. Allen holds an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Fire Service Administration as well as one in Fire Protection and Safety Technology. In 2009, he became a certified Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator. He is currently certified with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as an Advanced Firefighter, Advanced Fire Investigator, Basic Fire Inspector and Intermediate Fire Instructor. As of April 2011, Allen is currently employed by The City of Alamo Heights as Fire Marshal. Allen grew up and has lived in Fredericksburg until a recent move to Bandera with his wife and daughter.
